Organize Kitchen Gadgets

As I stand in the middle of my kitchen surrounded by houseware items and food, I wonder how I can use plastic storage containers to make sense of it all. The tips to organize kitchen gadgets that I picked up at the workshop put on by the wholesale vendors seemed a lot more workable when they were doing it. How could it not? There we were in the houseware aisle amid copious amounts of plastic storage containers and everything you could dream of to organize any kitchen.

Standing in my own kitchen however it all came crashing down on me...literally. I pulled out the food and houseware items and realized that I alone am keeping the wholesale houseware vendors afloat. I collected all the plastic storage containers I could find and made a note to visit the wholesale vendors again to stock up on more. As I began to organize my kitchen houseware emporium I realized that while this is the room that our food is prepared in, food is the lowest commodity I actually keep here. I have every conceivable kitchen gadget and accessory known to man and if I could organize them into a container system I would be unstoppable. 'If I could organize them into a system' being the operative phrase there.

With a heavy heart I throw everything back into containers and pile them back into the kitchen cupboard. I am going to stay with the system of organized chaos that has served me pretty well up until now. Perhaps one day the spirit will move me and I'll try again.
